As Maya Angelou said, “Nothing will work unless you do.” I am a firm believer in intrinsic motivation and determination to get the job done. In my current full-time role as a benefits specialist, I facilitate robust performance through my demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, detect gaps to optimize work processes, and drive engagement through fruitful coaching. As a writer and graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's journalism school, I incorporate my background in creative writing with my professional experience in the corporate world to create unique, engaging, and polished written works.

I am a quiet person who prefers gathering her thoughts with pen and paper before sharing with the world. Inspired by nature, I love spending time outdoors, traveling, and sharing my passion for animals with others through equine ministry. I live in Chattanooga, Tennessee with my husband, also a Tar Heel and a sports fanatic, and my two toddlers - a male Basset Hound named Blu and a Beagle/Australian Cattle Dog/Great Pyrenees female named Sammie. Named after the UNC Tar Heels quarterback Sam Howell, of course!
